I say no, it almost would seem like no step up, sure you get better gas mileage but you also get increased car payments and a boat of a Camaro with only a 6 cylinder. With your Ford connection the Stang may be the better option and better looking than the 5gen Camaro IMO. I hate the speed and tach in the new Camaro, in fact the whole car reminds me more of a 67 Camaro. I wish they were ready to release the next version of the car with improved front, rear and sides so it would be desirable in my eyes just as a 69 is, but not a 67.

The "honeymoon" is wearing off with the new Camaro and now they are being compared to the 98-02 versions. From a purely aesthetic stance, I would prefer a well-kept 98-02 SS or WS6 to the new SS. I've had numerous people comment that they prefer the looks of my '99 to the new model. Bells and whistles? No question that the '10 is the winner, but compare one side-to-side with a 4th gen. and they look huge, too big in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the new SS, but a bolt-on 4th gen. SS or WS6 is not behind in performance, looks leaner, and doesn't cost $500 a month. I can't even fathom buying the V6.

I think it's a bad idea going from a V8 to a V6 unless you are just going for mileage. You'll miss having that torque trust me.

Now I'm starting to consider the GT. 412 + hp. DOHC 4v.. i love rpms and I may look into picking up a stripper GT. I just hope it can be had with leather as it's usually std on the GT . I love rpm and would love to have a screamer of a motor striaght from the factory.

I have had an 05 SS/SC and an 01 Z28. Although, I love the sound of a V8, and the tourqe was outstanding. the SS/SC was one fun car to drive. When I drove "over-the-limit" in both cars, the Z28 scared the hell outta me, where as the SS/SC I did not feel the speed. Down side was gas milage in the SS/SC was not as good as the Z28. go figure.

Ive driven both the V6 and V8 on several occasions and the V6 is way too slow. I know they say it will run 6 seconds to 60mph but its really not very impressive. Its just too much weight for 304hp to carry and you can feel it when your driving it. I would without a doubt keep a LS1 even over the 2010 2SS/RS camaro. I
