LOL, okay maybe thats a little harsh. It just looks out of place to me on a car that doesn't have chrome bumpers to go with it. These cars are so mono chrome it makes the grille stick out like a sore thumb.

there is a place where you can get either the slp ss grille or the slp grille with the bowtie. i am planning on getting the one with the bowtie since i have a Z. They are pretty expensive tho. way better than stock. I don't have a replacement yet i still took the grille out and am just rockin it like that.

I don't think I have ever seen so many haters of the billet grill in one thread.

I voted billet grill but I'm alittle bias.

It was right on topic as a matter of fact, he asked for an opinion and I gave it.
Not sure what eating a mo-power has to do with anything though

Doesn't matter though, he can do what ever he wants.

I'm getting a billet grille and powder coating it black, then putting 69 SS emblems on it.

    BRIGHT RALLY RED
    2002 CAMARO Z28RS

    Bow Tie Grille

    13 October 2007

I've always liked the clean appearance of the SLP bow tie grille. I like the way the red bow tie punctuates the front of the car and brings it more to a visual point. (Also, my car is red and the red and black grille really picks up on the factory color scheme.)

Personally, I think chrome or polished grilles are acceptable on pewter-colored cars only; there's one guy on here who has a really nice example of this combo, and he installed a large, gold Chevy bow tie on his grille, as well. (You can find an example of this in the "PEWTER CAMAROS UNITE" thread.)

And lastly, I believe that black grilles look best on black and navy blue metallic cars only because the blend in with the darker colors; I think they look ricey and a bit dated when combined with other color schemes.

Below is a link to the tbyrnemotorsports website where you can still purchase one of these (increasingly expensive) grilles. You'll have to scroll down a bit to see it, but it's the one on the red Camaro with the black rally stripes. (I bought my grille about four years ago for $159.00.)

After posting my own opinion on this thread...then reading others...mostly negative about the billet grill, and again mine came with it, and I had no other choice, I promptly went out and removed it, knowing what it looks like under there. Peer pressure, ain't it a bitch? lol! Actually I like it better except for all those factory holes. So, I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to remove all the SS emblems, leave the factory "Bowtie" in the back and have the CAMARO letters filled in, along with the keyhole in the rear panel, order the SLP grill with the red "Bowtie" emblem so it'll all match...what'd ya guys think??? maybe I'll move the rear "Bowtie" into the middle in the back after the letters are filled in too. Opinions please.

oh ya, when I put in my black grille I'm going to paint the bumper black behind it, so you can't see any red.
