Is there a place to download an electronic shop manual for my '02?

doubt it, just go buy a chilton, theyre not too expensive

Nah, I need the real deal. I am planning a Megasquirt install and need all the detailed wiring diagrams and systems operation theory.

Helms is the best and year specific, but expensive. Sometimes you can find them used on ebay.

i belive 01 was the last year for paper/bound service manuals at GM.
since then is has been all computers

Paper is still available on Helms' site for '02 - $135 + shipping. Got my set a few years ago when they had a 1/2 off sale.

That's what I'm looking for. Anybody got a copy of the shop manual on CD? I got a copy of the electronic manual for my Mustang and it's wonderful. Would love to have the same thing for my SS!

Here's what to do:

1. Meet someone who works in the service department at a GM dealer.
2. Make sure he/she has access to GM dealerworld SI.
3. Befriend such person.
4. Con them into printing off schematic after schematic for you.
5. If you feel up to it, buy them a beer for their troubles!

Actually, now that you mention it, I was friends with a guy I worked with, who left that job for a position at the local Chevy dealership parts counter. That was a few years ago though. I need to stop by and see if he still works there!
