Shifter boot

Has anyone put a shifter boot on a automatic console, in a 2000 ss camaro, I have see the automatic corvette's have boots.

I did this. Bought an adapter from Afterthought auto (or something like that), found a knob on Ebay, & got a shift boot from a Grand Prix at the junkyard for $2. I will post pics when I get home....it looks much better than stock, imo.

Another option is an M6 Console
Looks like a manual but has the auto shifter underneath. Don't think you can shift down to 1-2 with it though.

Now that's tempting if it works.. I'm considering a swap later on in the car's life anyways

Here is mine. Like I said before, I spent $2 at the junkyard, a couple of swipes of saddle soap, & about an hour getting it in (the boot). I had to get an adapter from Afterthoughtauto.com & the knob is from Ripp's Knobs (I think) on Ebay. I think it is a worthy upgrade.

It's been done before, but you really need a ratchet shifter underneath to get the full functionality.
