    Reall SS??

    going to look at a SS at the weekend - Carfax report says its a Z28 no mention of SS - although from the photos it has SS badges and the dealer "says" its an SS

    Whats a quick easy way to check its not a clone?

    Carfaxes and titles usually say Z28 on them. Open up the driver side door, look at the RPO codes and you want to find "WU8". As long as you see the WU8, its an authentic SS.

    They are all listed as Z28s. The SS package was considered an option. The insurance companies, Kelly Blue Book and the DMZ don't care. It's like the V6 cars are all listed as RS by the insurance companies whether they had that option or not.
