    Rattling Dash

This has really been pissing me off.

Something over on the left side rattles, sounds like its behind the air vent or headlight switch.

I thought it might be the fuse box cover, so i removed it, but that didn't help.

I turned off my A/C, that didn't help.

It only makes this noise if i'm on a rough road or hit bumps which makes it hard to trouble shoot.

perfect solution: buy a lexus or mercedes.

...but really, good luck with the search, after 3 years i haven't found most of it.

well i know that its not gonna be perfect.

I had to go a week with no music last month, made me so freakin paranoid about everything i heard. But this is a bad one, I cant turn my radio loud enough, its sounds like a fan blade hitting something, but its not.

My dash rattles at low rpms when in 1st gear(Drive, a4). I was going to try to fix it . But then I remembered.

Its a F-body! Its gonna rattle.

I FOUND IT!!!!! It was a screw holding my door speaker in place, it had worked loose and the washer on it was rattling.

I thought it was on the edge of my dash, but it was on my door, close to where it meets the dash.

I know its not gonna be perfect, riding with the radio off is scary with all the squeaks and rattles, but this one was loud, and it really pissed me off. 3 weeks of annoyance is finally over.

I have something in the back the squeeks when i hit bumps, i thought it was my spare so i took it out. But yesterday when i was riding with the radio off, seein if my dash rattle was gone, i could hear something back there.

Its quiet, so im not gonna worry about it.
