Are you referring to the "SUX2BU" ram air mod or the normal OEM hood etc?

Would have to guess he means the ram air mod since he said mod. I just did it to my Z28 but i haven't been to the track since, nor have i driven it at all.

Not sure about the FTRA. I have the SSRA and it helps with mpg about 1 to 1.5 improvement. Problem is that the increase in enigne rumble from the extra air causes you to drive with a heavy foot. I only get better mpg if I use the cruise control.
As for power gains the only improvement I noticed was at freeway speed and above.

That just looks like the cold air setup from just about any aftermarket company. I've seen SLP sell that for $120.

slp's cold air doesnt have the ducting that goes all the way down to the air dam like the ftra and ssra. so above they do look the same but from below you wont see the slp equipment unless you are looking from directly below the air dam or have the fast toys upgrade. fast toys sells an upgrade system for the slp kit that extends it all the way to the air dam like the others. the piece that attaches to the air dam is supposed to shovel air that hits the air dam into the air box. the theory behind it is very logical as far as air flow to the motor goes but radiator air is blocked with the ducting directly in front of the radiator. i havent seen or searched to see if any members have real results for the gains or lack there of.

I didn't see a faster e.t at the track(ssra) 13.1 before it and 13.1 after until I did other mods. Sure it doesn't hurt but no sotp feel.
