    Question about ASR

I have a 2002 Z28 with all the options, except there is no ASR. Today though i swapped my head unit out and had to unclip a wire harness that plugs in behind where the ASR switch would be if i had it. My question is does this mean the car is maybe wired up for it but the original owner had it deleted as an option? And if so can i buy the button and have traction control?

    Sadly now demodded :(

My Z doesn't have it (ASR) but I've never checked behind the dash. I wouldn't want it anyway.

I really don't know, but for some reason I kind of doubt that the asr option would cost that much just for a button. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe somebody will know....sorry I couldn't help more, goodluck!

I think that a lot of cars have the same wiring harness, including wires to things that the factory didn't install, such as fog lights, and stuff like that. It just makes it so much easier for the assembly plant to put a car together, instead trying to figure out 10 different wiring harnesses to put in. So on your car, it has all the wiring for it, but your missing the switch, and the control under the hood, and whatever else it needs.

Ya thats probally true, i doubt everything else i would need is already installed. It would be nice to have in the rain but i can do fine without it though.
