    Question-98 Z/28

How do you remove the radiator cap on a 98 Z/28? Also- where is the sensor for coolant level? Last- how do I make sure there is no air in the system after flushing it and refilling with dex cool?

    Thanks in advance.

The cap, doesn't it just twist off?

The coolant sensor is located in the radiator toward the top on the passenger side on the back. Looks pretty easy to replace. Just make sure you drain the radiator first.

To burp the system, just run it starting cold with the radiator cap off and it topped off. You will see air bubbles popping to the surface. Keep your eye on it and keep topping off until you see no more bubbles coming out of radiator. You may have to add coolant after driving a little bit too.

Thanks man! I found out the cap twists counterclockwise without pushing down- after the cap won't turn anymore -then push down and continue turning. All my older Chevys I pushed down and turned from the get go -simple.

I was embarassed to ask this question but I couldn't find my book LOL.
