HI

I NEED YOUR HELP GUYS

I BOUGHT A 2001 RED M6 CAMARO

BUT I AM NOT IN USA I AM IN KSA(SAUDI ARABIA)

AND I WANT 2 NOW IS IT A LS1 OR NOT BECAUSE THE OWNER HAD CHANGED THE FACE OF THE CAR INTO 95 FACE

THIS IS THE PIC OF THE ENGINE AND TELL ME IS IT A LS1 OR NOT

if the wrong body parts is the only thing wrong then it was a pretty good buy id guess. You can find the right stuff pretty cheap and then have free reign to paint it whatever color you like. But if he has been driving it without an air filter like pictured, then i hope there isnt any internal problems. good luck and i hope you enjoy it! should be a fun project.

i do not now but if he was driving it without an air fiter what internal problems will happend to the car and how much it will cost

Don't mean to scare you, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. If the screen to the mass air flow sensor has been removed then it could potentially suck in some large debris and possibly break some valves or hammer on some pistons. those would be about your two major ones. but you could get it rebuilt for 5K or less depending on where you take it and how much damage was done. But like i said, i dont want to scare you, you probably have nothing to worry about, jut be sure to get a filter on there asap!

thats a ls1..but i mean for 5k you cant expect a perfectly running car. i think its a good buy. have fun.

interior looks like that of an original LS1 car. Front looks good as well but not the color matching, I guess it that's the look your trying to capture it alright. I like the look of LS1 cars and I don't know why you would wanna change it back to the LT1 style cars.

i do not like the lt1 look but i bought the car like this

Why not...? It's the perfect sleeper. No one would expect an LT1 camaro to have the balls an LS1 has!

i know but which 1 do u like ?

and it is a m6 and in my town if u drive a m6 lt1 camaro they will be scared

what do u think they will do if they see a m6 ls1

and there is only 3 m6 ls1 camaro in here

i will be the king becuse there is no red m6 camaro

maybe i will do the zl1 side stikers (white)

but i do not know should i do it stikers or paint?

Well if you want over all appearence, and want to strike fear into those who drive honda's, then swap it over to the Gen IV front clip. If you want to have a sleeper, stay with the Gen III. It's up to you and your preference. Which one do you like more?

I would have to say I like the look of the ls1 cars better hands down. But the idea of the sleeper would be cool too, but you should get a fipk or something like that so you will have an airfilter. paint it up and you'll be good.

I'm not ripping the car cause that shiii is tight. It's probly the only one or one of a few that are like that. I mean since it looks like a LT1 keep it that way...its like a custom built car. The best thing you could do as far as appearance goes is repaint the car or at least the front end. It looks as whoever took the time to change the look didn't spend any time thinking of painting it... it will look even better when it just flows.

I like the gen three on the camaro better,I did not like gen three firebird though steering wheel on yours gives it away as gen 4.. I would do a carfax check on it though to see what damage might have been done for the previous owner changed it make sure it doesnt have a rebuilt title..
