Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Pick up a Z28
Just picked this baby up a few days ago and fixing her up. Don't mind the night shots, just wanted a few pics to throw up. Its a 98 with about 64.5k miles on her. So far i'm looking at a new alternator and a few other odds and ends.
Cooling fans aren't kicking on so it got hot today, they turn on through HP Tuners so i might be looking at a new PCM, not 100% sure yet. Needs an alternator and a new ignition cylinder because someone tried to steal it but besides that it's a solid car, engine runs great and it drives fairly nice. Besides the dash pad the interior looks brand new.

Reminiscing old times huh looks like a solid car! Are you gonna keep the purchase price a secret?

That was my first thought too. Just like the good ole days Pretty clean inside and out. Under the hood will take a little elbow grease. Good find

Good find. Don't know why I like white so much, probably from painting too many cars white lately. Doing one in white as we speak.
My wifes all time favorite 4th gen we had was a white Z convertable with a tan top. Sadly rearended and totalled a few years ago. She's wanted another white vert ever since. I've been secretly scouting for a firehawk in white shhhh...

I will agree with you there. White has a very clean look to it. Was debating whether or not to flip it and make a quick buck but i like it too much
The SS is nice, but with the exhaust and suspension setup it really is nice driving around a stock one for a change.

Thanks guys, and sorry Keith but this car brings back old times with my first camaro. I gotta keep it haha.
On a side note i cleaned up the engine bay a little and swapped out the water pump and alternator
Kicking myself in the ass right now because i broke the plug at the top of the alternator so not charging yet

Thanks Andy, looks like i have more work for you!
Thanks Dena, might end up sanding down and repainting the cross support under the hood. Hard to tell in the pics but there's a few small rust spots. The car was parked right by the beach most of it's life so there is some rust
And a friend of mine actually had a spare alternator plug so i'll be trying that sometime this week.

Yeah. It'd probably be easy enough and would make a big difference. The headlight brackets too. It will be less of a project than polishing out those headlight lenses It does look like the paint actually has a little bit of a shine to it on the drivers side in that one picture though. Mine is very dull in there. It won't even shine when it's wet.
Have fun with it

I especially like the cloth interior. So hard to find these cars with it. That's what sold my wife on her current SS.

Thanks.
Both my ss and this car are cloth and I like it, car is cooler and its easier to keep clean.
I think the stock fan setting is set to come on around 226, someone correct me if I'm wrong. if that's the case I didn't let the car get hot enough, shut it down at 224. Actually noticed the small line from the overflow and the one from the tb were reversed so that should solve my problem of coolant spewing out of the overflow on shut down.
