Painting "CAMARO" on plastic OEM grille...
Few months ago I asked what grille would look best and someone said to stay with the factory one cuz it looks good with the stripes that were on it. So I've decided to do that for now, but I want to paint the "CAMARO" thats on the grille as you can see in my pic. Has anyone done this? I don't want the paint to peel or chip off...what can I use that will really work. I'll definately go with some shade of silver. I think it'll look pretty cool and I've seen it on a 35th anniversary ss and thought it actually added a lot to the car.

Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
You can get some "CAMARO" vinyl overlays for the grill from Brent Franker that will hold up quite well. Lots of people do that instead of painting it and he has tons of colors to choose from.

I painted in some letters on my old car with caliper paint and it held up very well because it had some give to it, almost rubbery. i believe it was a latex paint but dont qoute me on that.

Well where did you get it at...like wal-mart or autozone? I could go ask them and see what they think. I'd think if the calipers can hold the paint then the grille shouldn't have a problem.

I just checked him out...id definitly go with that over paint. Although the paint worked very well for me im sure this would be much easier way to go... unless you were planning on painting ur calipers anyway.

Yea I'm not going to bother with the paint or with the calipers. I'm definitely going with vinyl and I emailed him to switch it to light silv. but he hasn't emailed me back. I got a black reflective for "camaro" on the berger panel too.
