opinions on performance
just bout a 99 z28 and i'm looking into spending alot of money with texas speed. How much horsepower and quarter mile times will acheive with these mods : slp intake, ls6 manifold, tb, mass air, texas speed headers, 3" y no cats, slp loudmouth, ms4 cam, underdrive pulleys, 4000 stall, 100 shot nitrous, slp diablo programmer, tubualr lca, panhard, 3.73 gears and slicks. I know its a long list but i just sold my dodge diesel and have a little bit of money to have some fun with this camaro. Also i'm thiniking about a 9" moser and maybe upgrading the transmission. Will the ls1 stock bottom end handle these mods our should i consider a stroker kit ? also how hard is the cam swap.

you will be in the 10's. do not get a diablo programmer you will need a custom tune! the stock bottom end will be fine with these mods. the ms4 is a great cam! i love mine! i am still on a stock trans but i am getting a 9in rear.

thanks man, i've been reading your posts and i'm really impressed with your times without heads or intake manifold. How long does the ms4 cam take to install also what else will i need with it ? valve springs etc.

you need to get the cam kit from texas-speed, it comes with cam, springs, pushrods ext. you should also get a oil pump, and ls2 timing chain. it takes about 8 hours or so depending on how good you are. my car is a 2002 so it came with the ls6 intake stock, you will need to get an ls6 intake

Pick a different catback. Unless you LOVE rasp....
Also, skip the MAF. Leave the stocker...more so running on the juice.
No handhelds are worth the $$. Get a real tune.
Actually....stay away from SLP all together. Better parts for cheaper out there.
Car going to see the street?? 4000 stall and the MS4 won't be too streetable.
Power will be there for 10's though!2008 Trailblazer SS
Yank PTB3600, Kooks 1 7/8" LT's, 4" intake, E-fans, Magnaflow, Sonnax kit, tranny cooler, tune.
Lowered, HID's, tinted.

I should rephrase it. I think a 'streetable' car is one that could be daily driven in the summer.
Everyone has a different opinion on streetable...and I have driven a car with similiar stall and an MS3. While I would drive it on the street, I wouldn't want to daily drive it.

Only car?
If so...I would back off on the cam a bit, and use the nitrous for when you need it.

How much drag racing?
That MS3/MS4 will want steep gears as well. They are peaky cams.
I don't have a drag car, so I like the more 'average' sized cams. They still lope great though.

To take full advantage of a cam that size....
4000 stall and 4.11's.
Which is why I prefer cams that aren't as peaky but make power across the board for a daily driver type car.

Your first mod should be a beater car. I would not have my only car be an LS1+4k stall+3:73s/4:10s+MS3/MS4 cam+supporting mods. Even though you only work 10 mins away and your fiance has another car, I would be looking for another vehicle if you want to mod your Camaro that heavily. My .02

i would also look more into that 9" bc with all those mods and slicks the stock7.5" is not going to hold up for very long once it hooks at the track lol
