Ok THIS JUST RUINED MY DAY

SO about 2 weeks ago i fixed my tranny out put seal rear pinion seal and a new rear endcover to stop all the leaks. all is great till im about 1/4 mile away from home and my whole rear end locks up try gettin it on a flat bed and the wheels would just drag on top of it it was my last day of driving it before i stored it away and got it detailed for winter....when it rains it poors hope i dont need a new rear end

sounds like when you pulled the pinion nut and popped out the seal you didnt properly torque the pinion nut back down causing improper preload on the pinion bearings causing the rear to lock up, you will probably need to take the rear to a shop, have them pull the pinion out possibly replace it and set it back up with new bearings seal crush sleeve and so on. good luck man

yea it sux the only thing i can think of is wen me and my buddy put the driveshaft back on the mark had gotten wiped away from the bolt washer and all plus it had moved a littlewell maybe this is a sign for a ford 9"
