ok camaro guys, answer me this!
2 questions...
first- So everyday in my apartments i see a blue ls1 z28....but it throws me off cause its got a single exhaust on the drivers side that is turned down exactly like a v6....whats up with this? is it factory?
second--will a 2004r transmission fit in a 1985 camaro with a tpi350?

You're sure it's a Z28? My guess is he has badged a V6. Emblems are cheap...
Can't answer the tranny question, I am not that advanced. Yet.

Early 98's did have a single exhaust. I looked at a 98 WS6 once with a single exhaust. Pretty wild.

Z28 also came with snow flakes which is what the 3800-II cars have.. 3.4l came with salad shooters or steelies with hub caps. I could have sworn a single tail pipe exhaust came only on like one year of SS but I'm not totally sure..

Could be an econo muffler too.. They are cheap and usually in stock.. I always had to order my Z and Iroc mufflers.. I used an Iroc Z muffler for my z34 before my project.. They cost more than the factory single setup on my Camaro, but were cheaper than having 2 mufflers the z34 came with....

Yeah I knew they had better flow, but I was'nt sure on the year.. For the record my single outlet on my y87 was almost twice the size of the z28 muffler I replaced it with.. It was so quiet you actually could'nt hear the car running standing right next to it.lol

I would think it may have been an option to get the dual exhaust?
