Obama wants YOU to own a Z/28!

I'm sure that most everyone has heard this already, about the pending release date of the newest member of the Camaro family. I just got my latest edition of Motor Trend.

I'll make this short and to the point;
The Z/28 will have the 6.2 liter supercharged LSA V-8 tuned to 556hp and 551 tq.

They are expecting very low 12 sec. 1/4's and a top speed somewhere near 193mph.

It will be launched no earlier than late 2011 as a 2012 model.

One last note it may only be offered as a 6 speed.

Pick up the latest Motor trend for all the details and an artist's rendition of the car.

Better yet make it as a vert (I know, not gonna happen).

50-55k is what i would expect the MSRP to be.

Not so my friend, the Vert will be released BEFORE the Z/28 according to the article! Or were you indicating that they wouldn't produce a Z/28 Vert?

give me a black z/28 vert..with the orange interior

and lord knows i will need a towel on hand everytime i get in that car.

I've been waiting on a 5th gen vert. I'm still 1st in line at one of the local Chevy dealearships. They told me 1st or 2nd quarter of 2011. But if they do indeed do the Z28 I just might wait on it instead.

And, for me anyway, the best of both worlds would be a 5th gen Z28 vert. But I expect they'll make a ZR1 vert before they do a Z28 and we know the chances of either one happening are less than zero.

its my understanding that the concept car for the z28 is basically the production version.

low 12's? with a superchargerd ls3???

not worth the money IMO, this car should be made to run circles around the gt500 (a carwith those same times), not hangright with it,
