    Smile O2 connector

I need help figuring out how to access the bank 1 number 2 (rear) oxygen sensor connector on my wife's 1999 Z-28 LS1 I got the other 3 sensors off but the bank 1 rear sensor wiring plug is un-reachable as it is stuffed along the top of the tranny.
    Any help would be treasured.
    Thanks

Get a floor jack and lower the transmission a little. It shouldn't be up there BTW, it should be along the side of the transmission.

Actually it is along the top side but I can not reach it from underneath the car, is there an access panel under the consul shifter area on automatic tranny?

no. If it was a manual you would have a larger hole that the shifter comes thru. Auto's only have an opening big enough for the shift cable to go thru.

I do not recall any issues accessing our O2 connectors. Is the connector attached to bracket on that side?

Yes it was , I finally ended up getting my neighbor who has smaller hands to disconnect it and then connect the new one, his hands are just a little smaller than mine. The car is done and runs like a top , the only reason I did not eliminate these #2 sensors is I have to deal with strict emissions inspections every 2 years and do not want to leave my wife more problems to deal with when i'm gone.

    Cheers,

    What state?

If they're turned off they won't report. You could still leave them there. Think of it as spare O2's
