How much HP are you talking? Have you thought about trying a steel one, it weighs more, but is more durable. You could also get one custom fabbed here in town I bet, Drivetrain specialists has always treated me well.

PST aluminum is what I run. Its a nice piece. Also check out Strange chrome moly or the Strange Steel. Since I run a PST, I always recommend it, as I like it alot. Its rated at 1000HP or 1200HP. I think they increase the power rating. Either way, its a good piece.

Your not going to break a aluminum PST driveshaft at the power your at, or hoping for. There being used in 1000+HP applications. Your aluminum DS that broke was probably stock.

Are you running a stock TA? A4 or M6? Stock gears or aftermarket gears in a 10 bolt? From your comments it sounds like a M6.

    Agreed.
I plan on upgrading from my beefy steel driveshaft to a PST piece. I have a heavy driveline as it is, so lightening the load a little is a good thing.

That sucks man....mine's sitting at home on bad tires, and one is flat. Sacrificed new tires for Christmas gifts for the family. I hate not driving the car, but it was worth it. I got paid back with a PS3 from my wifey for my good deeds
