New camaro never see the light?
I was told when I got into my accident that the new camaro will not be making it out. At least not now. The guy said he had friends that had a pre order on them and they got refunded because its not coming. He said because of the bailout they got a cease and desist on the camaros. Any truth to that?

2001 3.8 Black - sold- 2000 SS Black M6
It wouldnt make any sense to me to cancel production, the R&D money has already been spent, the only thing now is to build and make profit.
I think stopping at this point is the worst thing they can do

I don't know, I had heard on the news they are filing bankrupt anyway even with this bailout money. Sales are down something like 45%. There was some rumors floating around the GM performance parts division was closing their doors as well but I haven't seen any truth to that yet.
To give you an idea of how bad things are, Crane Cams closed their doors after being in business since the 1940's. I know you are thinking how is this related??? Well Crane did alot of work for GM exclusively and I think that was there biggest source of income, but with GM cutting back so much I think it's affecting others as well.

Ya it would be neat. But I think GM cut their own throat 7 years ago,,,and the economy now is just digging the hole deeper.

I was staying at a hotel in Frisco Colorado. Been there a few weeks. Anyway, walk out one morning to my car and see this red car, I'm like oh look a new Challenger, cool. Well I get in my car and look over and there on the side of the car "Camaro". There was probably 15 or more brand new GM cars with Michigan plates on them all packed in this hotel parking lot. New Chevy whatevers, a bunch of new Caddys and one red Camaro. Oh, and they all had a pretty awesome CB antenna. Not sure what was going on, but in person being that close, the car is very impressive. I'll post up some photos.

I am from Iowa as well, but am currently working in Vail Colorado. The hotel is in Frisco, about an hour west of Denver.
