New camaro
the new camaros suck, they look like shit. Everything about them looks super cheap and the back of the car is the worst. I wouldnt mind having the engine out of one of em for free, but what were they thinking when they designed this thing. They should of went total retro of a 69, and better yet they should of done it in maybe 2003 perhaps. Instead they waited about eight years and then finally decided hey maybe we should put something out there. Basically Im just pissed because they could of just redesinged in 03 beat out mustang sales and kept the camaro going, so instead of coming up with an original idea they just stopped making them. Ford actually thought of something good with the new mustang. If it wasnt for Ford this camaro wouldnt even be a concept drawing. I am one of the most die hard camaro guys ever, but if I was going to buy a brand new muscle car I would buy a challenger and thats sad.

I agree, the new camaros suck. I would buy a challenger too, it looks just like a vintage muscle car but with modern technology. But I love my 2000 SS. I just bought from the original owner with, no kidding 5,800 original miles.

Hey eric 87 at least I can work on my own car and guess what I actually paid for mine also. So when you learn how to turn a wrench come back and talk to me, and when you pay for your own car and dont have your mommy and daddy buy it its way cooler.

Regarding the new Camaro: I've owned some form of Camaro (mostly 1st gens and most of them 67's) continuously since 1978. As I'm wanting to buy a new car, I've put $$$ down for an SS vert when they start making them. I intend to but a 2SS/RS. This will replace the 98 as my DD. I guess that answers your question, no?

No. It's not even an F-body for that matter. But it'll suit my purposes.

i like em. im glad they didnt go too retro. all the other car companies are doing that now. and obviously the new camaros look a lot different, they are almost a decade newer that the last body style. the design and styling of cars has changed so much. same with 60's-70's, 70's-80's, etc, etc...
and personally i think the new mustangs look like poop. they are the cheapest most generic cars on the road imo, you cant even tell the gts apart from the v6's other than the exhaust. they are dime a dozen. the camaro am will never out sell the mustang. the v6 is a poor mans sports car, and they sell a ton of them.Last edited by mpfranks; 02-09-2009 at 06:41 PM.

388 rwhp & 370 rwtq- 2001 Camaro SS #847
i think the new ones look ugly as hell too, an the corvette-ish style lights in the back need to stay where the hell they belong, on corvettes. chevy needs to stop slappin them (and SS badges) on so many cars. i like the styling of the challenger but wouldnt buy a dodge, if i were looking for a car a c6 would be my top choice.
they coulda really did a better job on the design of the new one. something brand new and totally different.
