new 98 z28

    The person I bought it from said it was either rebuilt or replaced at the dealership he got it from but I don't remember. Thats understandable about why they wouldn't rebuild ls1's then. But if it does have 173,000 miles on it its still running extremely strong and it looks almost new with dust being the only thing in the engine bay.
    I'll try that and if I can't single it out I'll take it in to the shop and see if they can find anything as a last resort.
    Also even if the timing chain went aren't ls1's non interference engines?

    I will as soon as I get a day off to check it out or take it to a shop.
    Also after letting the car sit for a couple days I found about a half quart of oil on the ground and noticed an empty quart of oil in the trunk...
    I love buying used cars, so many mysteries

    lol damn that sucks might need to do a lil more research
    next time on it if the owner will let you and you can always do a gm ghetto scan to get your codes ive done it on my 98 before cost me 59 cents from best buy.

    i know its free but they are jerks to deal with so i made mine own using a led light and wireing i had laying around with my friend im saying he can do the same even tho 9 times outa 10 i had to search google or call the store to find out what the code meant its and easy way if you anit got the cash and need to get it read asap

    haha haven't heard of the gm ghetto scan. I have a friend that has a obd2 scanner so I'm just gonna wait and use his.
    regardless of if the guy new about the leak or not stuff happens.. Maybe he mentioned something and I didn't pick it up.
