525hp....must be a seriously detuned version of the LS9. Aren't they rated at 650? Even to the wheels they should be pushing at least 600 right? They must be doing what they have done previously with putting vette engines into camaros....yay, simple tune gets you 50hp haha.

That's a hot car, I like the hood and stripes! Best version of the new Camaro yet appearance-wise to me. I don't know about a super charger.. but that would be sooo sick if GM ever did do that. Still though, the new Camaro (s/c or not) wont be a slouch.

I will be convinced that the 5th gen Camaro will be blown when GM officially announces it. A report from someone in Arizona about maybe hearing a whining noise under the hood over the internet is not going to convince me of a blown 5th gen Camaro

That would be tha sshit if the new Camaro's would be blown, but like stated by others I'll need offical proof if that was to happen. Rumors are nothing but rumors. Kind of off topic but does the new Camaro still have the same platform? I hear it still being referred to a F-Body.

No. Not an F-body. I think it's supposed to be on the Zeta chasis.

    right..and it was a high-performance package with a heavy-duty suspension and larger D70-series tires on 14-inch wheels. Beyond that, the SS-350 model also offered a new 350-cubic-inch small-block V8 rated at 295 horsepower Chevy's first 350.

    98-Camaro SS.

That sucks. The SS should be the king in the HP dept. The originasl SS from the 60's had the big HP engine over the 302 Z28. Wake up GM and stop putting SS on everything including 4-bangers to sell them.

This is the kind of stuff that keeps me excited about performance. I'm in for an SS.

Far as the pricing, it's probably not official, but appears to be in the ballpark when you figure the car's been outta production for 6+ years and the high end units back then stickered at $36k

That version looks much better than the "BumbleBee" 5th Gen. Maybe it's the shadow/lighting and paint, but wow!
