    new 17" wheels

so my parents and g/f went in together this christmas and bought me a set of 17" ZR1 replicas...sweet! at any rate. i was dinkin around on afterthoughtauto.com and came across these...

they are jounce bumper spacers. it says that they are required if adding 17" wheels to prevent rubbing. is this correct? do i seriously need to get these and install them or else run the risk of rubbing tires on the rear end?

    Your tires wont rub.
Think about this, our cars came with 17" rims as an option. You wont have any problems running a 17" rims and tires...

I have 18s with 305/35/18 Nittos on the back and they only rubbed under load when I first put them on. You should be ok with 17's
