Honestly, you can probably get away with doing an LS7 clutch swap. It will feel closest to stock out of all of them out there. Another option is the LS9 twin disc. There have been a few people who swapped and love it. Both are obviously GM parts so the quality is there.

I'm using an LS7, and made 396rwhp... (375 after the 9" swap...) with no problems at all.

    I sure do.

On the right side of the screen you'll see a box entitled "Sponsors"

Click on GMPartsDirect. (The picture is all the GM logos scrolling)

When you get there, simply input LS7 in the search box on the top of the page. It says "enter part #" but don't worry... it'll still search for you. Once you do that, I believe it'll be like the 3rd or 4th thing down on the page, and last I checked it was under $420. (I paid $450 for mine)

    Happy to help.

Other things to consider since you're changing the clutch out:

    Master Cylinder replacement
    Slave cylinder replacement
    Throwout bearing replacement
and drill mod (Drilling out the restrictor in the fitting on the hose that goes from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder to allow more clutch fluid to flow.

Also a heads up... You may lost a little hp because the LS7 set up is aprox 8 pounds heavier than the LS1 set up.
