Need to make a decision. HELP!

i just recently put headers on my car and it started misfiring real bad. Took it to GFORCE out in pearland, tx and told me i have a burned cylinder. Now i gotta make the decision of taking it apart and rebuilding it myself cause i dont got the money to pay someone else, or let it go. also, this is my daily driver so i need t do whatever im gonna do asap. Need ur input please. and if i let it go how much do u think i can get out of it. Its red, has ss hood, about 90000 miles on block. Heres a pic

    Such a sexy car,
If you know how to rebuild it yourself and do a good job I would go for it

+1 keep it and build it. You won't get anything near what it's worth if it's broke.

im sure its a tough spot to be in and i think if i were you i would find the cheapest reliable car i could find even if its embarrising to drive would motivate me to stay course to building the baddest little hotrod around. i think i would go with a set up like mr lous lq9 motor. you already have a great car so your half way there. you wont get much out of a broke car so good luck with your decision.

Put the money into fixing the motor, a fresh rebuild will get you lots more happy years! You'll only be able to get a hooptie for the price of a rebuild, I'd rather have the LS1

well a friend did a leak down test. and he said its a broken valve. i thought it was a burned ring so its gonna be a lot easier than what i thought.

well that sucks about your motor, some make it and some dont, anyhow, i guess you gotta go the low buck route, so if i was you i would find a used cam and used heads make a little extra power this time, it will be worth the extra saving trust me, do it once do it right now what i mean>

Burned Cyl Head Thats a term Ive never heard.I would Defintly take it a part and look for your self.Get a becket on your motor and if it needs Rebuilt. a kits not that bad in Price about the same for a Decent P.O.S .and you never know it might be somthing far less.why you have it a part put a cam in it .oh check your 02's if you took your cats off you need 02 simulators on the back 2

burned cylinder means two things, it leaned out and lost the rings or the valves either way a loss of compression is the real meaning
