Smile need help on maf and throttle body purchase

I have a 2002 camaro ss with ls1. I had the computer reprogrammed with the hyper tech programmer. I now want to add a larger mass air flow meter /sensor, and a larger throttle body. I am concerned that the mass air flow meter/sensor by slp advances the timing and fuel curve and along with the reprogramed computer will be too much advance and fuel curve for my engine. Is this correct? or is my buddy incorrect and the mass air flow meter / sensor does not alter timing or the fuel curve in any way? will these 2 modifcations work togeter, the maf and the throttle body? Please help.

Don't waste your money unless your over 450 hp. All the stock stuff is good for that and no more hp than your going to gain it is a waste of money.IMO.

Save your money. Just port & polish what you got.

Take the $180 you were going to spend on the MAF and buy a nice set of BMR SFC instead, or a lid.

Do NOT waste your money on a MAF. There is absolutely no reason to, especially on a stock-mild car. It's a waste of money, unless of course you want to go slower. Do a search on various LS1 boards and find out how many people are kicking themselves for buying aftermarket MAF's.

As for the TB...I'm sure a bigger one will net some more HP..but if you're stock you probably don't need that either..find a good TB porter or do it yourself.

Talked to the guys at GMMG this weekend and they said port and polish the stock T/B and don't mess with the Maf sensor. They said they use the stock Maf on all of the Dick Harrell Cars.
