My new SS with 390rwhp. What can it take on the street?

Since I just got the car yesterday and don't plan on going to the track for awhile to get some times, I was wondering what this car should be able to beat on the street? 390rwhp/380rwtq. I have tested it a bit on the highway and it rockets from 60-120. I haven't launched hard at all since the entire 200mile trip back was ont he highway and still getting used to the cluth and shifter. I will pretty much try to run with anything, under safe conditions, that is, but what should I stay away from so avoid embarassment and having my girl call my car slow and waste of money HAHA.

On the street, anything is possible. You could essentially beat anyone but saying you and the other driver are both good then ehh, watch out for new Z06's, GT500's, 03-04 Termies and modded EVO's and such. Otherwise your going to be pretty hard to beat. I just dont feel like naming a crapload of cars either. But you dont have TOO much to fear, youll be able to takedown your daily retard who thinks he's faster in his stock civic though haha.

Alright good to know. It's just tough to tell who is stock nowadays when a pretty much everyone is modded. I just dont want to underestimate anyone and look like a fool. I usually only race if someone is cool and wants to go or if someone is egging me on or insulting my ride (which is usually ricers)

Where do these cars pull the hardest? I have an M6 I haven't tried much out yet. I know they pull pretty hard up top. Other than that I haven't had much time to test it out.

well if your good on the stick then you might be ok...but if not...dont run a pullied L from a dig.....

You'll be covered on most anything you'll encounter on a regular basis man. I'm puttin down about the same numbers you are and just killed a 04 C5 w/ a intake and tune last night pretty easily.

Why are you impressed by beating a car that only weighs a little less than you with the same motor, minus lots of mods?

Don't be afraid of anything, and if you see something that you think is faster, find out. There's nothing shameful about finding out that someone is quicker.

You should be able to cream most evos, wrx's sti's...which I would love. All i see are these damn things around here. You'll beat any mustang unless it's s/c prolly.

I don't know how it is up in Minnesota, but down here, you have to watch out for Foxbodies .... everyone and their momma has em' and most of them arent anywhere near stock ...

yeah i've always wondered what was up with those gt500s, 500hp and every car mag puts them at around 12.9@112mph.... I'd love to see what my car would do with 500hp
