If you went with the higher stall, long tube headers, that would help. What are the cam specs? Maybe there is more to have from a bigger cam? Some drag radials or maybe even slicks would help; you already have the rear end to handle it. Looks like you got a nice clean car for a good price!

    The cam specs are:
    Lift In 559 EX 566
    Duration at .050 In 214 ex 272

    Lobe separation 115

hear what slp said would give my 35- 45 more horse and 4 - 5 tenths off in the quarter mils. let me look it up. thanks jeremyNOTE: PCM reprogramming strongly recommended.

    Camshaft Specs: Valve Lift Duration@.050
    in: .576" 234º
    ex: .571" 228º

    Centerline - 112º

what you need now is a good set of lower control arms, relocation brackets, and a tourqe arm. Then see what happens to those nitto's.
Very nice car by the way. Gotta love ZR1 wheels, I have them on my 98 SS and when polished they look like a million dollars.
I would have to say that given whatyou paid for it and the amount of mods on the car you got a very good deal.
Welcome aboard. Lots of good info around here.

they would give you ungodly traction. you could expect to see .3 to .5 seconds off your E/T because it will elimate almost all wheel spin off the line. lower the pressure in the DRs and that will make them hook. just watch launching it with it hookin its gonna put alot of stress on your rear end.
