    2002 Camaro SS 35th LE

My 35th LE Wheels have arrived!

    4 35th LE Wheels from originalwheels.com - $900
    4 OE Center Caps - $163.92

A bit pricey, but you can't expect to pay a small amount at this point in time. This was the only company to have them in stock briefly. The other place I was talking to never got any in after 2 weeks.

I'll post pictures once they are on my car tomorrow. I'm excited to ditch my Z06 replicas that the chrome is chipping away on!

Edit: I didn't snap the center cap in the first picture, so that's why it may look funny at first.

Yeah, I am. The last few that went on ebay were a little scuffed and worn, and those went for $885. Figured this route would be better. I just can't believe the original owner got rid of these beautiful wheels for cheesy replica Z06 wheels that the chrome peels off on.

All I can say is, persistence pays off.

Discount Tire is putting them on tomorrow. They've been good to me and my family since I was a little kid, so I stick with them. I'll post the results.

Here's what is on there now:

    Front - Kumho Ecsta AST
    P245/45 R17 95H

    Rear - Continental Extreme Contact
    P275/40 ZR18 99W

My question is, will those same tires fit just fine on these 17X9 wheels? Plan on keeping them since the tread is good on both, but the rears have a little wear.

those 245s are too skinny for a 17x9 wheel and a 18" tire will not fit on a 17" wheel. looks like you are going to need some new tires

Well, crap, more money. I'll probably have the rears swapped to the front and install the new tires on the rear. Now I gotta research some tires.

Yeah, they are, just looked at them again. I don't know where this previous owner got this idea for these tires or even the wheels.

Guess I'm looking at an entire new tire set. Oh boy.

Checked on Tirerack, says the P275/40 ZR18's fit on a 17 inch OEM wheel.

It is. I've never visited the track once, but even if I did, it would be just for fun and not a repeating event.

Living in Texas, I see rain, no snow in Austin, and no ice lately during the winters. Should I still be looking at an all season tire? I'm guessing I get to keep my Continental in the rears, but the fronts are gonna have to go.

I've also read that the 245's can fit on a 9, but it's a stretch, and the rim is exposed. Definitely do not want that, nor do I want to stretch a tire like that.

if those tires are on 18s they will absolutely not fit on 17s. the tire size must match the rim size. you are going to want 275/40/17s all the way around. you should be able to get away with a high performance summer tire but are probably going to get a slightly better wet performance out of an all season

Yeah, I think these are the 18X9.5 Z06 replica wheels.

Those are the tires I'm looking at. Great reviews, in the middle on pricing.

I have Riken Raptor ZR's on my 35LE wheels. They have about 15000 miles on them and are in good shape for another 15000 miles. Summit sells them for $120 a piece.
