LS1 swap to 6.0 or 6.2
Hello ls1 members.. I'm new to this and in hopes of some help from you all.. First off I have a 1998 SS Camaro and looking to improve the HPs some.. I found a guy that is selling 6.0 and 6.2 marine engines at a really good price.. Was just wondering if this would work for my LS1 swap and if so what all is needed for the swap?? Thanks..

Welcome! I do not speak "boat" very well, so not sure what the difference is between a marine engine and an automobile engine (if any). A few members have swapped 6.0's into their F-bodies and have have great results.

The guy sent me pics of engine and it look the same as my LS1 other the it had center bolt valve cover and didn't have coil packs. And it has rectangular ported heads.. So I know I'd have to replace the intake.. For the price it seems like a really good deal but would love some info if anyone could help.. They r long block engine for about a 3rd of what I've seen on post.. Thanks guys and in need of info..
