    ls1 intake

    I got a intake for a ls1 for free but my 02 ss Camaro has a factory ls6 intake manifold on it. I was going to paint the ls1 manifold the color of the car. I was wandering if thers a horsepower difference . if it looks hokey. if its do able

    Stay with your LS6 intake for the better flow.
    My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555

    Yes, as mentioned in the other thread, keep your LS6 intake on the car.

    There really is no use for the LS1 intake. It isn't recommended to use it for several reasons, but mostly because you'll lose power

    All 2001-2002 LS1 cars came equipped with the LS6 intake. Pre-2001 came with the LS1 intake. People with the LS1 intake almost always upgrade to a LS6 or FAST intake.
    It's on jackstands.

    yea free is for me but i decided to stay with ls6 manifold until i get a nother ls6 manifold to paint

    I know of 3 guys that have done so. They told me to IIRC it was a truck guy that bought it.

    I got $120 from and LS4 FWD guy its a popular upgrade for them.

    I guess its like doing an LS6 on ours but cheaper.
