lq9 6.0 escalade motor swap
i threw a rod in my ls1 and was wondering what all i would have to do to swap it with an LQ9 motor out of an escalade. if anyone know something or could tell me if it would be worth it please let me know. i know of a couple of things i will have to do but i know somone out there knows more. thanks

everything should bolt up all u have to do is drill a hole for your alt. i think? may need a different oil pan also?

what are your plans for the car. if you want just a replacent motor and have no plans for it then just stick with an ls6 replacement. they have gotten pretty cheap. if your looking for a motor to build up there is a bit of info in this thread.

check that thread out. lots of people with more info than i have but there is some useful stuff in there. and the difference between the lq4 in the other thread and lq9 you speak of is pretty much cam and some valvetrain parts. lq9 has and ls1 cam in it. lq4 is a bit smaller.

thanks for all the help that thred has answered a lot of my questions. i am trying to build a supercharged stroker motor. and from the looks of it i can do that with the LQ9 motor.
