    Update:

Finally put the new SS on the scales. After I installed longtube headers and off road Y-pipe which should have shaved a few pounds from the car,,,,and it still tipped the scale at 3,540 lbs. Much like all the other T-top cars I've seen on the scales. This is with jack and spare, no attempt to lighten the car other than the bolt ons I mentioned.

It's barely lighter than my convertable SS with the same bolt ons,,,only has it by 80 lbs. Not alot really.
There just isn't alot of difference between verts and T-tops as some people claim obviously.

With my 200 lbs. butt in there thats a 3,740 lbs. race weight,,,no featherweight by any means.

What we lose in weight, we make up for in raw power.

It doesn't,,,,but taking them out does

I just have them disconnected for the time being because I don't like them.

Eventually they will come out entirely when I get more time to play with them.

You should do something narley with 'em...like put one in a 50 gallon drum. Or better yet, get your girl to sit on it, than trip it and for gods sake: video tape it!
