I don't care where I park my grand am and it sure does show....There are nicks and scrapes and all kinds of dings and chips on that thing, all from careless people who can't open a door i guess.

Do what makes you happy. You obviously bought the things because you liked them. Who cares what others think! Do what YOU like! It is your car, time, and money.

My .02, it does not look good on our cars.

I agree with sgt0704. Do it!!! They will look cool and you will have the car that will stand out in a lot full of cars. I have seen several F-Bodys with Lambo doors over the years and I personally think that they look great. The car is yours, so do to it what YOU like. It doesn't matter what the guy next door thinks. In fact, the guy next door may really like your Lambo doors (or what ever else you may deside to do to your car) but trys to put you down for what you have done because he might can't afford the mod or is afraid to do the mod or??? Anyway, DO IT and be proud of your decision and don't worry about the guy next door.

But they are even worse on an F-Body. Doors are simply too big and heavy.

That's BS, some loser in an 83 accord who doesn't care about his car, and wants to mess up something nice cause he can't afford it.

back on subject though. I personally wouldn't do it to my car cause 1, I don't know how, and I like doing things myself, 2 the doors are very heavy, and I wouldn't want to lighten it cause my luck that's where I'd get hit. that and I think they're overpriced. if I got anything I'd get the 'gull style' doors, cause I like those better.

I think you are going to find that installing them is NOT bolt on, the mirror will not clear, so you will have to have the mirror/fender area modified. They work much easier on the T/A due to the door/mirror structure. This is just what I have heard from the guys in the local area. Save your cash bro, that shit ain't gonna be cheap.

    Lambo doors are okay

Since no one on this site will give you any real advice. Hear this, Yes Lambo doors are def. for ricers and have been put on mostly imports due to the lack of real power in those cars you have to shift the attention to something else. However, I have a Formula WS6 pushing over 400hp with SLP longtubes and a catback and I have lambo doors. They make my car look hot and is the most attention graber in car shows.

F-bodys have very long doors that are heavy so most kits are very difficult to install. However, the best is from Vertical Doors .com or VDC. They're made custom for those cars. It includes simply 2 hydroliques with enough compressed power to push up the door and 2 hinges to make it swing out as well as up. It costs 2100 at the site but you can get it off eBay for 1100 or better yet contact VDC and tell em your a seller and need it for a customer and they will give it to you for about 800.

To install them, is simple. You remove both fenders which also requires you to remove your bumper then remove the door hinges, disconnect the power lines and reinstall the new hinges and hydrolices pushers. Just follow instructions and save the install fees. You will need 2 people though to hold up the doors while you do it and some power tools to unscrew the doors.

Some people care for Power, some care for overall elegance and look and others care for both, either way it's your choice whether you want them or not.

The point you are failing to mention is that this will not work on a Camaro. Scroll up and re read my post, my advice is VERY real

Just do what you want, if you like them do it. If you think you will not then dont do it. Also Sharptransam where are you from in Oklahoma?

Maybe the mirrors on my Formula are easier to work with than with a Camaro in most cases but here's a picture of my friend's Z28 with the VDC bolt on lambo doors. I dare you to see that it isn't sweet as hell.

i like it. the body kit and paint job are a little too extreme for me, but the doors dont look bad.
