The 106MPH tells me there is much more ET in the car.
    Trouble with traction??
If you are an automatic...get a stall on her.

You also might need a tune after the longtubes. If you check your A/F ratio then a custom tune might get some extra hp. And if it's an automatic, a custom tune can get you higher shift points and faster shifts.

Ya that just looks like driver to me, 106 mph indicates an easy high 12 second car with a good short time in the 1.8 zone, which is not out of the question at all. But it should be low 13's relatively easy with short times in the 2.0 to 2.1 range. Sounds like a great running car that is already stretching the limits of that stock 7.5 rearend. If your thinking sticky tires and you have a stick,,,that rearend is going to need upgraded. One of my pet peaves about theses cars, something GM skimped on, big mistake. Autos aren't as bad but these cars were never worthy of a manual with that 7.5 rearend in my opinion. Sorry for the ramble. Great running cars.

With new DR's, SFC's and a lot of practice you should bee deep into the 13's or high 12's

Well I am sure you know that a stock SS comes with 17x9 but most people looking for wheels just to throw drag radials on go for a 15 or 16 inch wheel. For best results at the strip you are better off with a 15 inch wheel so you can go with a drag radial with more sidewall. Just depends on how serious you want to get and how much power the car makes. Larry.

Now your talking about more side as in how much give or stretch the rubber is gonna give and grip at take off.... but, now I have 18 inch rims, 275/40-18 tires or 295/35-18 your saying get some 15s which is cool to understand but, do you know the pattern off hand so I can go buy some rims and tire packages?

If you are talking about the bolt pattern, it is 5 on 4 3/4.
You don't have to get a 15 inch wheel, there are drag radials made that fit 16, 17, and probably even 18 inch wheels that may work fine for you.
I only mentioned a 15 inch wheel because the more sidewall you have the more effective a sticky tire is. You also have more of a selection of various heights of tires. 26, 27, 28, 29, and even 30 inch tall tires. The taller the tire the more contact patch you have, and you can fine tune the gear ratio you are running.
You don't really have that luxury with a 16 or 17 inch wheel.
The 16 and 17 inch sticky tires work fine, and on the street it's probably enough for most moderately powered cars. Hope that helps, Larry.
