Jumping Fuel Guage????????
I have a 98 z28 and a few months back I noticed it was idling a bit rough. I put plugs, wires, fuel filter and cleaned MAF. It still idled a bit rough and I was told it was motor mounts(which I dont bellieve). Today I noticed the fuel gauge jumps up and down in perfect time as it surges/idles rough(when i feel it jump or miss the gauge jumps). It jumps back and forth within a qaurter of a tank. What could this be??? Could the fuel pump be going out?? The car seems to run ok when I am driving. I am lost. Any help would be great. Thanks fellas----mike

Something electrical. Get the alternator checked.

Ok check this out!!!! when i gas it hard the radio turns itself up!!!!
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont understand!!! It has done this several times.
Today i started my car up and the fuel guage jumped but not near as bad.
I guess I gotta take it to the shop cause my back is screwed and I cant bend down to test my alternator. I hope this isnt something crazy that is impossible to fix. Call me old fashioned but I think there is way to many sensors and bs on these cars. I mean its all good till some crazy shit starts like this.
