    ive got a question

    this is kind of a squirel question but oh well i want to know....was it a bad thing that i bought a 99 camaro z28 with 134,000 miles on it? i want to do a head and cam package on it but millage does scare me even though people say it is only a number.

    go ahead and try it out take it to a reputable shop have them check out the lower half and see what they say could'nt hurt

    LS motors if taken care of will last forever. So I would have to agree, take it to a trustworthy shop when you do the install and have them look the internals of the motor over. Probably a good time to replace all your gaskets, plugs, wires, and fluids. Good luck!

    And hey... worst case scenario, if the engine blows, an LQ9 stroker sounds pretty good.

    ive got 170xxx miles on my 99z. pulls hard as fuck, then purrs like a kitten when cruising.

    High mileage LS1's hold up great with a head and cam packages. Just don't add FI and expect it to like it!

    my dads got a '71 chevy short bed with a 383 stroker. loads of
    torque and quick. i like driving it.

    how hard is it to take the ls1 from 346 to a 383? how much $$$ are you lookin at over a reg. rebuild with beefed up inners for the 346 ?

    I suggest not putting that 383 stroker in your caramo from an older generation. The potential that the LS motor has is by far greater than the older style engines! There is so much you can do with them
