    Which Intake?

Ok, so i have an 02 SS, and has the SLP ram air intake, with the lid.. w/e and i have the cutout under the air filter..

    Question is..

Would this be better than what i have? For 390 bucks..."?

No not really, not enough to justify $390 anyways. Save your money.

Do you have headers? For $369 you can have a set of Pacesetter ceramic coated headers. You will get way more bang for you buck with headers than that lid.

Keep the SLP. The lid is better than the open filter as previously stated.

    DO NOT GET THAT INTAKE!!!

I made the mistake of buying that K&N intake as my first mod about a year ago. A few months after my buddy told me about getting an SLP lid and Ram Air Kit. He claimed that it was better than the K&N. I dyno'ed my Z28 before and after the switch to SLP lid and a +4 HP difference was in favor for the SLP lid w/ the Ram Air Kit.

As mentioned before, "your gettin hot engine bay air with the k&n intake."

The Ram Air Kit actually gets cooler air from under the nose.
