I have the minimum you can get, at 18 i rear-ended someone, but i went a year without a vehicle, and my parents didnt have any claims, so i think that made it go away, now im 20, and i pay $110 a month on my 95 V6

Basically the min insurance needed is some amount of liability. Which basically means if you are at fault your insurance will cover their damages. Full coverage usually entails that you have liability + comp and collision. That means if you are in a wreck, or almost anything happens to your car you pay what ever your deductible and your car gets repaired/replaced/whatever as well.

An accident stays on your record for 5 years. Tickets I believe are 2 or 3 years.

I did see a small decrease on mine but nothing like that, Now I'm waiting to turn 25, I should see a nice drop. I was hoping to keep my record clean till then and upgrade to a vette but my recent accident might have an effect on that. I'm still shoting to get a vette as long as insurance is less than the payments. A bike will probably be coming this spring once I save some $ I may just get a cheap bike 4-5gran and pay for it out right and not get any insurance on the bike.

Here in Oklahoma anyways, wrecks stay on your record for 3 years and 2 points will remove from your driving record every 12 months that you are ticket free.

No, i think wrecks stay on our record in texas for 5 or 7 years, but being without coverage for a year, and my parents staying clean made the auto company not care about it, and yeah AT, i have/had minimum liability

In Texas it is 5 years on your record. Most companies I have dealt with will charge you more if you have gone a period of more then 6 months without coverage.

Found out about all the things that put you in high risk the hard way Was very nice when I turned 25 and at the same time all the other bad stuff expired.

3 years to remove ticket points in NC. Ever wonder why so more many older guys drive fast cars? 34 years old, full insurance 375 per 6 months on my SS vert. Not much worse than my minivan really...
