    2002 Z28 Camaro

Inspired by 98Maro, my build thread. 02 Z28 PICS!!

I fully admit, and give credit to 98Maro for the idea. That being said, here's my build thread for my 2002 Z28 Camaro.

Stock, when I first bought it back in Sep of last year.

Added OEM SS spoiler and SLP license plate bracket. LOL on the bracket.

OEM ZR1 rims with Hankook tires. Also slotted/Cross Drilled Rotors and Hawk Pads.

SLP Lid, K&N Filter, SLP smooth bellows, UMI strut tower brace.

    Some more stuff....

    Back window tinted.

    Auto Meter oil pressure guage.

    3:73 Gear Set

    VFN four inch cowl hood.

    SS Emblems

What it looks like so far......

Not to mention all the maintenance and other misc stuff....
    Mobil 1 10W40
    Iridium Plugs W/ MSD wires
New belts and pulleys (The pulleys were squeakers.)
    New Fuel filter
    New trans fluid and filter
    Pictured: new tires and brakes
    New battery
    New 3:73's and diff fluid
Some suspension stuff that can't be seen: UMI subframes, UMI lower control arms, UMI panhard bar.
    SLP Loudmouth

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff....
BTW, I would love to have dived right into a stall and cam set up, but I'm trying to do all the other little things first.

Anyway hope you guys enjoy the pics!

Lookin good! You planning on painting the hood or leaving black? Also with the 4" cowl does it block any of your view?

Definitely planning on getting the hood painted. I've got two guys I use for my paint work, but both are really busy now. I hope to have it painted by mid July. It does block a little bit of the view, but it looks really cool from inside the car! LoL!!

I had my SS emblems put on today, here's a quick cell phone pic. I admit, I had a local detail shop put them on for me as I was afraid of screwing up the spacing. I think it came out pretty decent, they charged me $10.00.

We love cars and we all wanna know what's on our cars or what we do to make them look better and faster.
Love the progress on your car. I had a red Z I love it.
The hood on yours look great, those Rims are one of my choices on a camaro.
Can't wait to see the hood painted.
And like someone else said, side moldings delete will make it look cleaner and alot better.
I'm doing in to mine. One other thing I did and I loved it. Was the whistler mod. I highly recommend that to do.
And the rear panel flat black would look good too

Ya know, I've been told that...The Loudmouth was the one thing on the car when I bought it. Maybe I should change the exhaust tips.

Just got one question. How do you open the hood without it hitting the wind shield? Always wondered that lol.

It looks like it will hit the wind shield but it doesn't. Close, but plenty of room.

I bought them from a member of another site...He wanted to get rid of the ones I bought for, I think, silver SS emblems. They're OEM BTW.

I decided to pay some attention to my exhaust tips as they were put on backwards. My only defense is that this was done by the previous owner. Anyway, since they were bolted and not welded on I was able to take them off. Heres a quick pic, the bottom one is all cleaned up while the top one is not. I also decided to flat black the clamps as they were showing their age. What a difference it makes to have them on the right way! I never would have known if you guy's didn't point it out! DOH!
