    idle speed

    what should a stock 02 ss a4 idle at when its warmed up. mine sits barely over 500rpms seems low to me. almost seems like it has a little miss in it but car runs great. 9k miles

    my SS idles at 1000 warmed up, idk why its soo high, it did it bone stock, and also with LT header and ORY

    A4 or M6? A4 in gear = 600 or so; M6 = 950 or so.

    thats odd, to me it always seems like M6;s idle lower, my A4 idles at about 900 or 950

    When out of gear the A4 should idle at roughly the same speed as an M6 as the engines are the same.

    mine idled @ 750 rpm with the stock throttle body,recently changed out for an 80mm edelbrock and set it to idle @ 750 rpm.

    500-600 for stock is fine, like you said it runs great if it hesitates, like the rpm goes down and the car wants to die on you-that's an air sensor.
