Seriously though, 4 grand is a good starting point, cover suspension and bolt-ons, then see where you stand.

$4k for that? Try again. 220 for Moser 12bolt, 2200 for Afr heads, 650 for stall, and 350-400 for big cam...$5400. Without labor install, pushrods, other accessories needed for install, and suspension to put the power to the ground....Oh and another 500-600 for dyno tune. $6000 b4 labor/suspension/misc parts

Oh and with your numbers, $5k WITH the tune. Still overshot your $4k mark and still no tires/suspension/supporting mods to handle said power...

i dont thimnk so, a cam(with kit) is going to run at least 750-800, AFR's are like 2k at least. and did you buy the cheepest 12 bolt possible?? or just parts and going to assemble your self, lowest i seen is about 2k

No I bought a complete 12 bolt, complete AFR 225's and already had the pushrods etc from the smaller cam that I put in last month. My best friend owns Raceteck and I get all my parts at cost. I sell him all his bike stuff at cost so he lets me get everything at cost. Trust me, I know what I paid and I know what it is. Just check around before you start buying stuff. If you would read the entire thread it was started that the guy has 4k to spend but he can ans knows he will spend more. Good luck guys and lets keep this a helpful place to get info from....

i bought the car myself, thanks. my car is a manual 6 speed, not an auto. i don't think a stall is necessary

Well, not be a negative individual, I'm a realist, but it takes a bit more than $4k to 'hang with whipple cobras'.

i know that, i don't plan on doing everything now. i've saved up this 4k in the past 4 months. i want to go gradually an eventually take whipple cobras effectively.

Whippel Cobras are going to be a threat to deal with. Your going to have to have your ducks in a row to mess with them. Motor or spary. Just keep up the saving and spend your money wisely. This is a great forum to get ideas and reviews about parts and performance. Good luck with the car.........

you cant just mass generalize whipple cobras like this.

boost and blower displacement are key. it isnt as if there is one magical number that all whipples put down and you can just work up to that point.

the only thing (according to my esteemed associate jayplayss2) is that you probably wont find a 3.3l whipple on any cobras. but excepting that, the skys the limit.
