That's because they aren't affraid of shoving a high hp v8 into any car they make.. and don't have to worry about government standards in the links of American vehicles. As far as looks, I would agree and disagree. They have thier fair share of some uggos, but for the most part, Holden and Ford do make some nice looking cars.

Oooops... nvm... it's 2 door, not the 4 door G8. My bad. Looks just like it though, slightly different wheels.

Was supposed to be the next Monaro and possibly GTO here. Which reminds me, I think Rattler posted pics of an HSV GTS which his friend was building into a Coupe60 clone. Unfortunately, Rattler dropped off the earth and we never saw the completed Clubsport or his buddy's Coupe60.

That definitely looked pretty sick, but obviously Pontiac is no more. Chevelle anyone?

if in 2012[ I think it is] the Camaro can get its own identity and look like the pic .. I think it would sell crazy numbers .. But no more retro ...

I agree, retro was played out after the 05 mustang came out IMO.

it worked better on the Mustang BECAUSE all classic mustangs mostly looked the same .. 65-73.. I mean they kept changing from year to year and 71 went to a different style but all basically had same shape .. but the Camaro made a major change in 70 and Chevy went right after the one year look ,1969,

Can you get any sleeker than a 4th gen though? The gen 4s seem the smoothest out of all generations.

and there is nothing wrong with that .. Look at how the C5 changed into the C6.. problem is that is its own car and not on a platform.. Hopefully Chevy shares what Mustang did .. Went for the retro thing then went back to the 03-04 form .. so maybe the 2012 will go back to that look.. but shorten the windshield ...

Well...say what you want, me being GM faithful...I would hope the gen 6 has styling cues like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks

This has ALWAYS been my favorite style.

Shorten the windshield AND get rid of all the damn blind spots!

And I think they sit higher than the GTO. I don't remember a Camaro sitting so high.

I think it worked better on the mustang because,,,,well,,,,,ford stayed more true to the retro look. When you looked at it you automatically know what it was representing.

I look at a new camaro and I can't tell what the hell GM was thinking

I feel that if you are going to do retro, go for the whole look or nothing at all. Just sticking a few cues in there does nothing for me, and just looks like a knock off of sorts to make a few bucks.

I would kind of like to see more forward progress from the 5th-gen to the 6th-gen design of the Camaro; not a different retro design but an evolution of the current car.
