Why am I visualizing a high noon showdown with a heavily armed sheriff by a guy whose unarmed and standing in the street bare-assed?

Think about it. Doesn't the new stang look like it was channeled along the beltline? To me the new stang looks like it's squatting sitting still. Like the GTO. If the gen-6 can be made to be more sleeker than the current gen-5, I think the next Camaros will take off more than now. But that is my blind GM faith.

Meaning I don't know what I am talking about. That's the analogy.

The Monaro/GTO was more sleeker than the previous stang as it kinda looked taller. But this is only my opinion. I have my flame suit on.
It would have to be a 1/2SS Since they go in numerical order on packages.

If I knew how to photoshop, I would take a gen-5 and lower the hoodline and chop the body along the beltline to lower the body an inch from the beltline up. Make the gen-5 look more aerodynamic.

I would have to say your completely crazy if thats what you meant.
I can see quite the resemblance in ways that mimic an '02 SS and WS6. There are differences, but I see a pretty similar base there.

I have always thought of the 4th gens as the reincarnation of the 70s model split-bumper. The signals on the 4th gen represent where the 70's bumpers would be.

It's the low hood/high trunkline. GM should adapt that design into the next Camaro IMO. I guess we will have to wait and see even though it is like watching paint dry.

The GTO and new stang share almost no body lines i still dont know what you were getting at but if thats what you think of then i cant change that.

    Look at this:

    And look at this:

Doesn't the stang look like it has had about 3 inches cut out from along the center? It's almost like Ford adopted the lower bodyline design that Holden had with the Monaro. No sharp edges. Everything flows in the new stang like the 4th gen and the GTO. The 05-09 stangs looked taller and more brick-ish than the current.

The design cocepts are like unsolved riddles. You have to admire the ingenuity. It's like you look at a car and wonder what could be done to improve on an already existing design. I drew cars when I was younger. Man, if I could, I would draw a gen-5 with a lower bodyline. Now my imagination is going like mad.

i did one time, to make fun of it, i would loFl if they really did it, biggest thing that pissed me off with this new Camaro and the following Firebird concepts is all these dumbasses(KevinMorgan being thier leader) are making renderings with 2nd gen styling traits on the painfully obvious 1st gen body style.

and i see what you are getting at, but the reason the restyling is sleeker is 1)that is the new in style 'look' of the later 2000's and early 2010's just like curvyness dominated the 90's, and boxyness the 80's. 2) obviously is aerodynamics and gas mpg, obeying CAFE standards etc. which one do you think would flow better in the windtunnel?

I think the new stang would flow better. I like the newer design. Now if GM could do this with the gen-6, maybe there would be more love for the Camaro. But that's just me.

Believe it or not Holden has a concept that looks like that. The Coupe60.
