I did it again...(Terry and Andy unlimited)

...got my taxes in, and got a quote from my local tire shop for just under 800 dollars for a set of BFG KDW's, mounted and balanced, which I thought was a good deal at 166 apiece....but, then I got to looking around the internet, and came across a guy selling some rims and tires for a decent price and I couldn't pass it up. They're Forgeline RS Competition wheels (might recognize from Sam Strano's Camaro), forged alloy rims, 17x9.5 in the front, 17x11 in the back. They're coming with some spankin' new Sumitomo tires, 275 front, 315 back....not the tires I would buy, but at $1000 SHIPPED from Las Vegas to Oklahoma....who cares...

They need a little TLC, but hey, these rims were over 1000 apiece new without tires....here's some photos that he sent to me. I'll get more pics as soon as they arrive, then after I buff them up, then on the car

Close up of the little 'ding' he told me about...

    And the tires...

    I love good deals!!!

Sorry Andy, sold the TTII's for headers a while back locally... so I've been back on the chrome ZR1's for a while...and you wouldn't want them, they're far from perfect.

Ahhhh shit...... Oh well, worth a shot though right!? Gotta keep looking, my big expense this year will be my clutch, so I may have to put the tires on hold.

I would have given you a good deal if I put them up for sale here, I just wanted to try locally to avoid shipping first. Still going with an LS7 clutch?

I think so.... I rustled around with the idea of doing a Zoom kevlar set up for a couple hundred more, but after reading people's responses to the LS7, I think it can handle my power with no problems at all....assuming I knock out the drill mod while I have it apart.

I think you should rename this thread to the Terry/Andy bullshit session!

Yeah, I'm still wishing I had done my clutch install myself, and done the drill mod as well....

Haha, probably so. Nobody else cares about my cool new wheels

I do have an LS7 clutch, has worked great for the past year and a half. Probably have over 40k on her with no issues at all.

It's good to have friends, who will find my helmet for me when I start beating my head violently against the wall.

Behold, the mighty power of the Master Mod, Preston. Your ability to morph my words to convey whatever you please is astounding, even profound.

Thanks I don't think I'm gonna try to get rid of the ZR1's this time though. The last time I tried I ended up selling my Torq Thrusts instead, to Michael (blertawho on the old local forum)...but he ended up making me an LED tag light, so that turned out ok
