How Much Would Theft Recovery Affect Value?
I don't have an LS1 yet but I will soon.
I was looking at an SS and ran a vehicle check and found that it had been stolen at one point.
There were also a few other things on the vehicle report but this is the most troubling.
How much would this affect the resale value of the car?
Thanks!

It's a 2000 Camaro SS.
83k miles, leather, t-tops, stock.
History shows the theft recovery and an accident involving a pedestrian (I didn't see a silhouette with an X stamped on the door though! )
Thanks!

White Liquid Silver- 2000 Camaro SS/ 02 YZF-R1
depends on the selling price and what was stolen...who did the repairs...

if it was stolen, but not wrecked then it may be ok.
Also look at when it was stolen... if it was a long time ago then chances are there are no problems with the car mechanically because of it.
I wouldn't pay much more than 8-9k for it tho just because of that title.
If you plan on keeping it for a long time, then go for it but just be careful and make sure you have it inspected mechanically and body wise.

does it come with a rebuilt title because of the theft or is the title still good.

That one had a clear title, but I ended up buying a different car.
Thanks everyone!
