I know that my car is rated a 325hp but i was curious to what it actually puts out. I have heard that they are pretty under rated.

    I have a 98 LS1 btw

Usually a bone stock M6 car will throw down 290+ rwhp. The 325 rating is engine rating, but yes, it is underrated.

Maybe touching the 300-315 range... transmission makes a difference though. You lose more power through an automatic than a manual.

    Sadly now demodded :(

I dynoed the 02 before any mods for a baseline. Stock down to the paper air filter it was 306rwhp/323rwt.

Then again 01 & 02 have the LS6 intake and a much better stock exhaust system than 98-00.

You were one of the lucky ones... on average from what I have seen and from what my dyno guy was saying was anywhere from 280-305 (A4's included)

2nd time I ran at the track (after I figured out how to launch it) it was turning 13.5x @ 106+. My buddies were telling me I had a factory freak. All I knew is it was the fastest "stock" car I'd ever had.

my car put down 306 RWHP and I think 317 ft lbs back when it had an SLP lid, flowmaster exhaust, coolant bypass, and I think SLP smooth bellows. Threw on a FAST intake manifold and a tune and it has 323 RWHP and 330 ft lbs. I dunno if it was worth the $1,200 I spent, but it looks/sounds cool. haha.

Impressive... I only hit the 13.5x mark after the lid/filter and the first crappy flowmaster exhaust (since has been removed) At least I'm in the 12's now right!

And it gets great gas MPG! My car is the fastest and best MPG I have owned. I wonder what my RWHP is too, but I do trap 109+ at the drag strip.
