One way to find out is to pull the seat. Then, step on a scale with, and without the seat. Subtract the difference.

You will save about 30 pounds by replacing the seats. Pull the carpet and you will save about 35lbs. Pull the trim and panels and you save another 25lbs. Gut the interior and you can save over 120lbs. How far do you want to go ?

The cloth seats are lighter than the leather versions. Might be another option if you want to remove some weight and be sneaky about it Door panels are the same way Change the rear seats to match and there's a little more weight removed. Still looks stock and you retain the comfy stock power driver seat.

There are alot of sneaky ways to remove weight from a car before resorting to something so obvious like racing seats that will look out of place.

Me too. I took .4 sec. off my times by going to the McWrap and diet Coke.

Luckily I only weigh 180. I am never going to give up on Taco Bell. I don't really care much for my obviousness of weight-savings; I actually removed the rear seats and related components a couple months ago. No one sat back there anyways, those who did, complained of no leg room. Plus there's a metal support in the small of my back where the padding must be worn out on my seat that kills my upper ass-bone.

I am looking at yourautotrim.com for non-back carpet. In terms of seats I am looking at cheap Summit race seats. They have good reviews and have read posts of those who have used them here and LS1tech. They weigh ~28lbs. I have a buddy that does carbon fiber who claims he can do my door panels and dash; we'll see about that.
