how much is a 99 ss worth?

This is my first post here, but I have been lurking around for a couple of days.

I have been trying to sell my lifted tahoe for a few weeks now, and I posted it on another forum and was offered a trade for a 99 SS Slp automatic with T tops and 60k miles. I was really looking to sell outright get a corvette but if the SS is worth anything I may take the trade. So I guess what is the going price for a SS slp auto?

Depending on options, between 6 and 7,000 in good condition, private sale according to KBB...

thanks for the quick reply. the car is excellent condition. No one really pays KBB do they? my kbb on my tahoe is 11k and I am asking 13500 and have had pretty good interest, mostly rich high school kids with no money but they are calling like crazy.

i always treated kbb as a guideline to a starting point. price all depends on location, how many are for sale in your area, popularity of what youre selling, and the most important one,having a buyer willing to pay what you want. banks use it as a loan value bible, dealers use it to say "see, im giving you book value for your trade". just curious, what year is the truck?

Yup, basically just a guideline for a starting point

for example, over here if i punch in a 99 z-28,ss, t-tops, a/t, 60k,[ and im sure the car has much more in options] i get 7600 for private sale, good cond. try to find a nice one around here for that, although sometimes you do get lucky.

I have no need for something like that now but back a few years ago when I hunted hells yeah. I like that truck though-very cool.

I paid 12,500 in april of last year for my 99 ss

just depends on circumstances/where you live. it was and still is the only ss that was for sale for a reasonable price with good miles (49k when bought)
