Depends on how many comforts you want to keep. My car is a true daily driver so I have alot of extra weight then if it was a track only car. Things like carpet and soundproofing are important to me, but could help you out. There are a few other things like the EGR and AIR stuff that can disappear. A good way to help yourself out would be to use a set of runners up front.

I think you need to look at the suspension bro your car is making the power while at the track run MT slicks. If the car has been lowered that will mess with the weight transfer. Alot of people think if they keep throwing more power at the car but they always for get to put the power to the ground the proper way.

Whether its stock tuned or not doesn't matter. In MANY MANY MANY cases changed to something like the SLP 85mm MAF has caused nothing but problems, such as running terrible, throwing lean codes, etc. The only way I would ever change the MAF is if I had it tuned when I put it on, and even then, it still might not help some of the problems. Then again, its just what I've read, I haven't tried the one I have...and don't really want to from what I've read.
gotcha man alotta people seem to be aginst it, but it was one of the first mods i did to mine. i run one on my 2 LS vehicles and 3 of my buddys do also.

you know with the t-tops off you create ALOT more drag and slow the car down..plus i thought strips require you to have them on.

taking the t-tops off is almost the same as having the a/c on while your running. wind resistence pulls your car down tremendously at higher speeds.

Have you done the "free ram air mod."? It might help some. http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm Click on the "Install Documents" title.
The "Throttle body bump stop mod." might help some. http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm
How about the" Throttle body bypass" ?
    And a 160 degree thermostat?
All these mods. add up to at least a tenth.

I'd go with the heads. I think you'll get more out of them.

Just remember the more power you make the less the car will hook. I honestly would work on the suspension your 60's are still slow they should be in the 1.5's that will drop your et's.

I heard jogging helps a bit too.... If that wont work, stick with throwing up after every meal!

    LOL j/k

I run the SLP MAF and have had 0 problems with it. No noticable power gains but no problems either. Address the intake and throttle body first, because they are cheaper than heads, and will give you the extra power you so dearly crave. You're almost there, just keep working at it! And definitely keep us informed.

If you do change out the MAF, I would retune it for sure. As far as MAFs go, I would get the TSP 100mm.

Removing dead weight will surely help. A/C, back seat, etc. I doubt you wanna remove the A/C though since you probably drive it regularly.
